Incense Guardian 10
This piece is part of the “Incense Guardian” series, small ceramic figures (~2in. in height) that were part of a personal ritual. In the mornings, I will craft a small figure in porcelain and then use it as an incense bowl in its “green” form (before firing). Once the ritual is completed, the figure is fired at high temperatures, glazed and fired for the final time. The intention is for these “Incense Guardians” to be used as incense bowls; completing the cycle from initial creation.
